Our house Selling Disaster

We were supposed to close on our old house on January 31, yesterday I had to sign the papers dissolving that sale. The buyer decided on Friday that they didn't want it anymore. I am really upset about this because it is not right. The only thing we get out of it is the $1,000 earnest money, but that barely begins to cover our losses. The house is now back on the market, and we have some interest and a possible offer from before, but I wish the realtors would speed things up. They are trying to play hard to get, we just want this done with. I am disgusted that people feel that they can walk away from contracts it is morally wrong. There is nothing I can do but complain, so this is my complaint.

I am being published

Last week I decided that I needed to enter some online contests for my photography and see how I compare to other photographers and yesterday I was informed that I am being published in an anthology of the best of 2009, there are 300 in total. I am so excited and suprised. It makes me feel good about my decision to pursure this career and I feel so blessed. This is the picture that won.

Gardening and Children

I have a friend who's garden is a part of a city Garden tour in May and she asked if I could help her out a couple of hours a week getting the garden ready. Yesterday Bryce and I went and I had such a great time. It was a way to get exercise and fresh air that was not painful. Bryce was adorable. He would be wherever I was and he paid attention. We were doing weeding and cleaning up a patch and once he realized what we were doing, he started to put the dead leaves in the trash bag. He was having a ball, and we stayed out there for two and a half hours. I am not going to lie, he ate a little dirt, but it was worth it. Today he has been going to the fake plants in my house and taking out the dirt, because that is what we did yesterday.

My friend has really inspired me to do my own garden. I have a lot of plans and am excited for my children to do it with me. I have learned that it is ok for them to get dirty because they just want to be with you. A little extra cleanup is worth the memory with my kids. I truly love being a mom and am so blessed by Bryce and what he teaches me everyday. He picks up a new skill each day, today is clapping and is so funny. I truly love my life.

Work Travel

When Jason got his new job it was because he wanted to travel less. It has been wonderful, but tonight is the first time in a long time that he is away and I have had a miserable day and I think it is because I know he is gone. Even the dogs are being difficult and I think they know it is because Jason is gone. It really makes me appreciate what a great guy I have and I can't wait till tomorrow.

Saturday Wedding

I have been really busy the last 2 weeks preparing and working on a wedding that happened this last Saturday. It was so much fun. The bride and Groom wanted a lot of candid pictures and I had a great time trying to make them laugh. I am still working on editing them, but I wanted to share one with you, more will be coming.
